Descripción

Nektar, conocidos por sus teclados controladores Impact y Panorama, han anunciado un nuevo producto, también, como los mencionados, con opciones para control del DAW, pero en un formato hasta ahora inusual en este tipo de periféricos: pedalera de múltiples interruptores.

Pacer, como ha sido llamado, funciona obviamente con otro tipo de equipo MIDI pero está pensado claramente para DAWs, ofreciendo 10 interruptores, cada uno con un sistema LED RGB. Otro interruptor más se ofrece para control de presets, los cuales se muestran en dos filas LED.

Para navegación, control detallado y programación se ofrece un potenciómetro sensible a la presión. Cuenta con salida MIDI y conexión USB, además de 2 conectores TRS para cuatro pedales externos, 2 más para controlar hasta 4 sockets de interrutores (efectos o canales) y 2 puertos de conexión de pedal de expresión.

Tiene espacio para 24 presets configurables, además de 2 de solo lectura para control de pista de DAW o transporte. Es capaz de enviar hasta 16 mensajes MIDI o interrupciones, con hasta 6 mensajes o acciones MIDI programables para cada control. Lo cierto es que la gente de Nektar también es consciente de que este formato atraerá a muchos productores guitarristas, por lo que han decidido ir un poco más allá y darle más usos a este controlador: manejar equipo MIDI de guitarra. Para ello, se han creado algunas plantillas de control ya predefinidas, para los racks y multiefectos más habituales de ese mercado: Line 6 Pod y Helix, Fractal Audio AxeFX, Avid Eleven Rack, Kemper Profiler, Elektron Octatrack Pickup Machine, Electro Harmonix 45000 Looper, entre otros, e incluso amplificadores sin MIDI gracias a sus controles por relé.

POWER
PACER is powered via USB or a 9v 600mA center negative power supply (optional). A cable tie keeps everything in place.
MIDI OUT
The MIDI Out jack can be used to connect to external MIDI equipment or as a USB MIDI interface.
EXPRESSION
The EXP 1&2 1/4¿ TRS jack sockets allow connection of standard expression pedals, such as our NX-P for real-time control.
EXT FS 1-4
Connect two footswitch pedals to the 1/4¿ TRS jack sockets or four footswitches using y-splitter cables.
RELAYS 1-4
4 relays on two 1/4¿ TRS sockets for momentary or latching operation. Use for channel or FX switching on a non-MIDI amp.
PRESET DESCRIPTION
A1 – A4 Program change presets: For any MIDI compatible equipment including virtual systems such as Guitar Rig.
A5 MIDI Notes: Send out MIDI notes E/F#/G/A/B/C
A6 Relay 1–4: Simple setup for trying out the 4 relays. Pedal 5 and 6 switch relay behaviour.
